The resurfacing of Euclid Avenue for 2.2 miles between Bayshore and West Shore boulevards is under way. The $1.1 million city project includes bicycle-lane pavement markings. Along with accompanying signage, the markings indicate the road is shared by motor vehicles and bicycles. The original plan to add two bicycle lanes was revised after many residents complained it would eliminate street parking. Parking along Euclid will be disrupted during resurfacing, which began June 23 and is expected to take six weeks.
